Our Exceptional Fleet
M/C Alya is a catamaran that, due to its characteristics in this class of boats, offers excellent stability, with its 16 guests hardly feeling movement at sea. Currently, the cruise is undergoing planned maintenance at the dry dock, returning to the Galapagos the second week of December 2019.
As the cruise owners and direct operators, the ship will be managed by Galagents starting in February 2020.
M/C Ecogalaxy is another catamaran with a capacity of 16 guests, with the main feature of being conceived and built under ecological parameters, using materials that have a lower environmental impact when sailing, including: built with 50% less wood, 2 generators that are used depending on the navigation needs for saving on fuel, 100% biodegradable materials, reduced use of plastic, and waste management that includes recycling, depending on the process. These are some examples of how resources are optimized on this catamaran, and some of these initiatives have been replicated across the rest of the fleet of ships.
Based on these strict and high ecological responsibility standards, the 3 vessels have been awarded and received Smart Planet certificates, which is an international recognition given to vessels that comply with these types of ecological regulations. The last planned dry dock maintenance to this vessel took place in October 2019.
